Started to the lake on Monday morning and blew out a trailer tire. After changing the tire I decided to go to Kingman and get a couple of new ones. There is a small old mining town not far from town called Chloride. Back in the sixties an artist painted some scenes on the rocks near town. I have always wanted to see if but never had. On the way back to Meadview I stopped and checked them out, very interesting, I took pictures but it is hard to get the feel in photos. I will post a few and a couple of my new girlfriend. I got a dog from Christi on Friday, she is no real comfortable with me yet, but a trip on the boat should fix that.

06:09 am - Long Time
It has been a long time since I have done a post, hope I remember how. Not much has happened since the last, just Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and that sort of thing. I am at home and bored, did not go to Meadview this week. It was suppose to be cold and rainy all week so I stayed home. My Uncle is in Bullhead City all this month , so he is going to meet me at the Palace next week, we always have a good time when he visits. We find some place to go and see a few sites, hope it is not cold.
Had a good Thanksgiving. I went to Yuma and was walking on Thanksgiving morning and saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee for sale on a car lot. I had been thinking about buying a 4X4 vehicle to launch the boat with before Summer. I wasn't particular about the make just wanted a older clean vehicle with low miles at a good price. I was disappointed that they were closed because it was just what I wanted. Later in the day it was gone, I thought that was strange but figured it wasn't meant to be mine. On Saturday Pat called and said it was back and the price was lowered $600 for one day sale. I had him test drive it and I bought it without ever even opening a door.
I had a good Christmas, went to Yuma again. My Mom's cousin Bonnie was there and my Uncle. My Mom and Dad had come to Vegas to get Bonnie at the airport the first part of the Month. We had a nice time, lots of goodies exchanged. I was cold by Yuma standards, I was looking for warm weather. Bonnie was going to drive my Jeep back to Vegas for me when they were coming back to the Vegas airport on the 26th, but she fell while in Yuma and was pretty banged up. Her face was all bruised and she broke her wrist so there was no way she could drive. My Dad was not feeling to well so I saw no reason for him to come up to Vegas for one day, so Mom drove Bonnie up and I followed them in the Jeep. We took Bonnie to the airport on the 27th and left for Yuma from there. Then on Friday the 28th I drove my truck home, so a lot of driving for the week. I just got my bill for the gas from the last month, $490, just love the high gas prices. I knew this months bill was going to be high and have been dreading it coming.
New Years was a blast, worked and went to bed at 9:00 PM. Went to Meadview on New Years night. Next year I will be in Meadview for New Years Eve, party, party, party.
I am in the middle of doing my taxes, doing a little work around the house and went for a Jeep ride yesterday, not to exciting. I will even try and post a couple of pictures of new things I have found around Meadview now that I have 4X4.
I do not know what the problem is, just can't make the cut thingy work so here they are.

I am going to go to Meadview tonight after work. I plan on sitting by the fire, if it is that cool, and watching movies for two days. It has been so warm I haven’t had a fire yet this year, it is suppose to cool down dramatically this week. I my put up a light in the garage but primarily sit on my ass for two days. Wednesday morning I will head to Yuma for Thanksgiving, will be there in time for breakfast. Mom will have biscuits and gravy, so she says. I talked to her yesterday and she days Dad and Pat insisted she buy a dinner at the grocery store for Thanksgiving. I am sure glad, all though she didn't sound to convinced. Better get to the vault, what a great week to be thankful, no SCB this week. I have so many thing to be thankful for she is way down on the list. Happy Thanksgiving.

Why am I home on a Wednesday, that is what I am asking myself. This is the first weekend in over a year and a half that I am not leaving town. I am taking Monday and Tuesday off and going to Meadview Sunday night so figure I would get some things done before I go . Then on Wednesday I am going to Yuma. I am having DirecTV installed today so I have to stay close to home. I have been going to have it done for some time but they now have over 70 HD channels and will have over a 100 by the end of the year. That sure beats the hand full that Cox has. So I was ambitious this morning while waiting I started cleaning the house, not that it needs it. I think about a year ago I gave it a quick cleaning. Any way I just got started when the City came to the door and the are turning my water off for an hour or so. They have had the street in front of my house all tore up for a couple of weeks working on the sewers. I really tried to clean but now I have to take a break, darn the luck. I can't leave till DirecTV gets hear so I am stuck on the computer. I came home around the mountain last night and it had been so long since I had done that there had been a Lowe's built and opened at Nellis and Carey. I have new glasses I need to pick up at LensCrafters but probably will not make it till tomorrow. I hope to do my Christmas shopping tomorrow also, because I do not go into stores after Thanksgiving. Still do not what to get my Dad, last year I got a great suggestion from a co-worker, but she ran off and ditched me so I am on my own this year. I better find something constructive do do while waiting on the water to come back on. I was just loading the washing machine so that is out, guess I could just sit here at the computer and wait. Looking forward to Meadaview Monday and Tuesday, am going to sit on my fat ass for two days and watch movies. If I get in the mode I may buy a new car Friday, just haven't made up my mind yet. Gee I am rambling. Does the vacuum require water?

My post are getting farther apart. Not much new going on. I am in the middle of a project in Meadview. I am redoing the window and the wall they are on in my kitchen. It is not a big project but time consuming. I have been working on them the last two weeks and should finish this week. A lot of painting, so a lot of time between coats. I am putting trim around the window hoping to make them look better. There are some strange storm windows an the inside and are not that attractive. There are six windows and together are about six feet by seventeen feet, that is a lot of ugly. I have also put up bead board on the wall. The next week I think I will stay home, it has been a long time since I have since that. The following week I am taking a couple of extra days off so the withdrawal will not be that bad. Some day I will make a real post.

I have not posted in a while so better get off my lazy rear. Vacation is over and I am already looking forward to the next, will be off five days at Thanksgiving. I went to Yuma for a weekend while off and had a good visit with the family. Folks are doing as go as can be expected for from a couple of geezers. Pat was still pretty out of it, but slowly is getting better. He has a Dr. appt. this week and if he get the OK he will try and make it to Meadview soon.
I am going to cut back of my work this winter, I am getting tired and am having money issues. If I have to buy a 4X4 in the spring to use the boat I will need to watch my pennies. I may paint some more inside but no big projects. I was going to knock down a couple of walls to make way for a pool table and start some work upgrading the Kitchen, think it will wait till next winter. I have not done much the last couple of weeks and it feels great. I am having mouse problems and that is keeping me busy. There are some tough mice in Meadview. I am going to change the light fixture over the Kitchen Island this week, I bought it last spring. I can't hardly wait, it is back to the vault tomorrow.

11:15 am - Just Passing Through
Just a quickie while passing through town, have to work this weekend. I will be off twelve days starting on Monday, plan on being in Meadview for nine days with a trip to Yuma next weekend. I have been in Meadview nine of the last eleven days, it could be habit forming. I have got a lot of work done, coated the roof of both the house and garage with a white elastic sealer. I had ten, five gallon buckets and was going to do one a day. I did two every day but last Monday when I did three, so got done in four days rather than ten.
Pat was going to be up on Wednesday, but Mom called Tuesday and he had a very serious series of seizures. He was in the Hospital for two days and has no memory of any thing that happened. I feel so sorry for him, it really gets him down. He bought a new ATV and was going to bring it up as a surprise and leave it there for when he visits, so those plans where put on hold. He has seizures when he gets emotional and Mom thinks being excited of the TVM is what caused them. It is so scary to never know when one is going to happen.
The weather has been nice but not as great as most Septembers. I think I will stay in town this Sunday night and go fishing Monday morning before going up. I should be able to get there around noon. Went and saw "3:10 to Yuma" this afternoon, it was a pretty good movie. There are not a lot of Westerns made any more so I wanted to see it. It is a remake and I recorded the original a couple of weeks ago, I will try and watch it tonight. Hard to believe that I passed up The "Nanny Diaries" with Scarlett, maybe when I get back from vacation. Think I will go to Palm and see the 9-11 memorial if I stay in town.

Another quite week in Meadview, just the way I like it. I went to Lowe's last week and got a few things for this weeks project and threw them in the trunk of the car. I had planned on driving the car so I saw no reason to bring in the stuff and then take it back out. I like driving the truck better so Monday night I changed my mind and loaded the truck to take. When I got to the Palace I couldn't find my project stuff and the remembered that it was still in the trunk of the cat, it's a bitch getting old.
I still found enough things to keep myself busy. I was in the middle of putting in a motion light in the back, did a little more to it but had no wire to finish. I also started working on the fireplace, it is just filthy. I took the glass doors off and took off all the hardware. I washed the glass with my power washer and it looks brand new. The hardware is polished brass which I hate, am going to paint it bronze, the screen is beyond repair. The way time is flying I will need a fire before long.
I did stay out of Lowe's this week but did go to Home Depot and spent $600, sad thing is I did not get all I needed. I am coating the roof with a sealer, I got four 5 gallon buckets but need 8-10. At $79 a bucket it is putting a hurt on the fiances, guess there goes the lap top. I am starting to get a little depressed with all of the money I am spending, but I could have two kids in college.
Speaking of BUM it was a great week at the vault last week. Ron was sick two days and Tuesday did not say a word. BUM is gone to Hawaii for two weeks, his MIL died, and SCB was off doing her union thingy. I was sorry to hear about the MIL but the selfish dog that I am I was glad that I only had to put up with the dark side for one shift all week. I had a Dr. appt. Tuesday and left early, almost hated to leave it was so nice. However, I got over it when I got to Meadview about 6:30. September is almost here and I am taking nine days off, can't wait.
